Frequently Asked Questions

1. What kinds of photography services do you offer?

I specialize in several styles of photography, including:

  • Weddings & Events — capturing celebrations, candid moments, and atmospheres

  • Studio & Models — fashion, editorial-style sessions in studio settings

  • Intimate & Fine Art Portraits — personal, emotional, artistic imagery

  • Lifestyle & Personal Portraits — everyday moments, casual and natural

  • Travel, Nature, Tourism & Culture — landscapes, cultures, destination imagery

If you have a particular project in mind (e.g. commercial, brand collab, or creative concept), feel free to ask — I’m open to unique ideas.

2. Where are you based, and do you travel for shoots?

I’m based in Birmingham, UK.
However, I am available for travel worldwide, depending on the project, timing, and budget.

3. How do I book a session or event with you?

The first step is a 45-minute discovery call, where we talk about your story, your vision, and your ideas.

You can choose a time via a short form on my site (giving your name, contact, availability, rough budget, and project idea).

Once that call is confirmed (within about 3 days), we’ll finalize details and move forward.

4. What should I prepare before the shoot?

To get the most out of our session, it helps if you:

  • Think about style & mood you like (e.g. reference images)

  • Decide on locations or themes (indoor, outdoor, studio, etc.)

  • Bring wardrobe options, props, and personal items that matter to you

  • Communicate comfort zones (poses you prefer or want to avoid)

  • Be open, relaxed, and ready to express your story or emotions

Before the shoot, I’ll also share a more detailed prep guide so you feel confident and ready.

5. How much do your services cost?

Pricing depends on factors like type of shoot (wedding, portrait, event), duration, number of locations, travel, post-processing, and final deliverables.

On the discovery call form, I ask for your budget bracket (e.g. < £500, £500–1,000, etc.) so I can tailor the package to your needs.

After we speak, I’ll send a custom invoice / package proposal that fits your project.

6. What do I receive after the shoot?

After the session, you can expect:

  • Professionally edited images (digital files, usually high resolution)

  • A gallery or online proofing site where you can select your favorites

  • Optional extras (prints, albums, large prints, rights for commercial use)

  • Turnaround time will depend on the complexity of the shoot and editing — we’ll agree on this in advance

7. Can I request additional retouching or special edits?

Yes — minor retouching, color correction, exposure adjustments, cropping are included.
For extensive retouching (e.g. body manipulation, heavy composites, background replacements), this can be discussed and quoted as a separate add-on.

8. How far in advance should I book you?

To secure your desired date (especially for weddings and events), it’s best to book as early as possible — many clients reserve months in advance.

For smaller portrait sessions, a few weeks’ notice can sometimes suffice, depending on my availability.

9. What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

(You should adjust this to your own terms.)

  • If you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 7 days in advance

  • If you cancel, the deposit may be non-refundable after a certain point

  • We’ll agree on a policy in writing in the contract

10. Do you require a deposit or contract?

Yes — a deposit is usually required to reserve your date.
We will both sign a service agreement / contract outlining deliverables, rights, cancellation terms, usage rights, and payment schedule.

11. What are the usage rights of the images?

You will typically receive personal use rights (e.g. to print, share, post).
If you need commercial / editorial / licensing rights (for business, magazines, ads, etc.), we can negotiate that separately.

12. What if the weather is bad (for outdoor shoots)?

If the shoot is outdoors and weather conditions are poor (rain, storms, etc.), we’ll have a contingency plan.

Options include:

  • Rescheduling to another date

  • Moving to a covered / indoor location

  • Adjusting timing (e.g. later or earlier in the day)

We’ll discuss this in advance and remain flexible.

13. Do you provide props, lighting gear, or assistants?

I bring essential equipment (camera, lighting, reflectors) as needed, depending on the shoot style.

For larger productions (weddings, commercial shoots), I may coordinate assistants, second shooters, or extra lighting gear — these are included or quoted depending on the package.

14. How long does a session typically last?

The length of a shoot depends on the type:

  • Portrait / lifestyle sessions: 1–2 hours (or more, if desired)

  • Fine art / intimate sessions: 1–2 hours flexible, depending on concept

  • Weddings & events: several hours to full day coverage

15. Can I see examples of your work before booking?

Absolutely — feel free to browse the Portfolio section of the website to see past wedding, portrait, travel, and fine art work.

If you like, I can also send you sample galleries tailored to your preferred style.
